Peach Ceramide is a ceramide extracted from peaches. Peaches has a color of yellow-orange and pink, a sweet and sour taste, and a light aroma. Peaches are rich in antioxidants such as vitamin A and vitamins, but most importantly is ceramides. Nowadays, peach ceramide is used in beauty products and dietary supplement products because ceramide is very important to the skin. It helps the skin to be flexible and moisturized, inhibits the occurrence of blemishes, freckles, and dark spots, and makes the skin brighter and more radiant.

Ceramide, a type of lipid or lipid known as sphingolipid, is found and is the main constituent of the top layer of the stratum corneum. There are, with more 50% of ceramides in intercellular fat. Ceramides are created within skin cells (Keratinocyes) and released when skin cells move to the upper surface. It is a natural substance inserted between the keratin, acting as a link to hold the keratin in good alignment. When the keratin is in good alignment, the skin will look good too.

Ceramides are like a retaining wall for water in the skin. Ceremide helps skin to be more moisturize by preventing water evaporation and reducing water loss of skin; healthier by preventing the absorption of various substances into the body and protecting the skin and body from the threat of germs; brighter and more radiant by reducing the synthesis of melanin pigment and reducing the danger of ultraviolet rays.

Studies have shown the benefits of peach ceramides in preventing skin dehydration and improving skin hydration. The study was conducted in 25 healthy volunteers, aged 27-67 years, where volunteers were given jelly contained 40mg ceramides daily for 20 days. It showed a significant reduction of water loss of the skin on the arms by 27% and on the legs by 30%. The results also clearly indicated an increased rate of change in skin hydration of the arms by 25% and of the legs 30%.

Naturally, ceramides in skin will gradually decrease with age which lead to skin condition changing. Also, there are many factors that contribute to the lack of ceramide in the skin which are genetically dry skin, sunlight, UV rays, and stress, which altogether stimulates the skin cells to decrease ceramides. The deficient of ceramide will result in dry skin and wrinkles, as well as dark spots, blemishes, and freckles.
