The study, five weeks long, measured the effect of volunteers' skin on sunlight using a sunlamp, a lamp produced solar UV light. The first phase is before taking a supplement which divided areas of the skin that are not exposed to sunlight and the latter is after taking the supplement which divided into the areas of the skin that are not exposed to sunlight as well, to study how the dietary supplement product contained red orange extract affects the change of skin color when exposed to and not exposed to sunlight. The volunteers were given 100mg of red orange extract once a day for 15 days. The results clearly indicated that red orange extract reduces the level of melanin on the skin and reduces the appearance of dark spots by 20%.
In addition, studies have shown the benefits of red orange extract in preventing skin inflammation and reducing redness from sun exposure. The study, conducted in 20 healthy volunteers aged 26-47 years, measured the effect of volunteers' skin on sunlight using a sunlamp, a lamp that produces UV light like sunlight. The study measured the inflammation and redness of the skin when exposed to the sun for 48 hours to study how the dietary supplement product contained red orange extract affects the inflammation and redness of skin color when exposed to sunlight. The volunteers were given 100mg of red orange extract once a day for 15 days. Red orange extract visibly reduces inflammation and redness of the skin when exposed to sunlight, up to 40% reduction.
